Trucker Path

Trucker Path is an American transportation network company specializing in road transport truckers. The company released their trip planning and resource locator mobile app Trucker Path in early 2013, followed in 2015 by Truckloads, an online marketplace specializing in connecting freight companies to users. In March 2015 the applications were used by 100,000 users, which had grown to 400,000 (25% of all Class 8 truckers in the U.S.) active users by August of the same year.〔
==History==

The early version of the application for truck drivers was created by Viktor Radchenko, who was inspired to make the application after listening to troubles his friends employed in the trucking industry had in finding truck stops. Trucker Path was the fourth application Radchenko had developed since moving to Silicon Valley from his native Ukraine in 2010, and he did not have any direct experience in the trucking industry prior to creating the application.〔
The early beta version of the application was launched in February 2013, and by August had 50,000 active weekly users.〔 In October 2013 Radchenko worked together with Ivan Tsybaev to officially found the company, with Tsybaev acting as the business' first CEO and Radchenko as the chief technology officer.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title=Trucker Path )〕 Tsybaev brought the big picture and envisioned the company becoming a freight transportation marketplace, but in order to build up a user base focused on the crowdsourced application for truck drivers as a crowdsourced navigational assistant that helped truckers with finding truck stops, parking, rest areas, washers and other places, also helping truck drivers to plan their trips. The application was awarded at the 2013 LA Auto Show, where it was named one of the eight finalists for Fastpitch, a competition for automobile-related startups. In February 2014, Radchenko left his position as chief technology officer at Trucker Path.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 title=Viktor Radchenko )〕 Initially, the application focused on trucking data primarily from the United States of America.〔
In 2015, Charles Myers, joined the company as the vice president of business development, after acting as the general freight manager for uShip, and being the president of freight posting service Getloaded (sold in 2008), and Director of International Business Development at England Logistics.〔 In September 2014, the company was funded US$1.5 million by China-based public company Renren, founded by American citizen and MIT/Stanford graduate Joseph Chen, that was actively investing in the U.S. based companies to expand into the Chinese market.〔 In the same month, Trucker Path released Truckloads, a B2B marketplace specializing in connecting transportation brokers to carriers. Initially the application had an invite only system, with a public beta released in July 2015.〔 Truckloads features FastPay, a payment system which guarantees payment to qualified transactions approved truckers within 48 hours.〔 In June 2015, Trucker Path raised US$20,000,000 of capital from Chicago-based Wicklow Capital. In July 2015 Dave Holt joined the company as COO, a recognized Silicon Valley veteran, serial entrepreneur and executive (ATI, AMD, Disney), to help the company growth. Also that month Charles Myers joined the Board of Directors. ()
CEO Ivan Tsybaev feels that the popularity of Trucker Path and other trucking platform applications was on the technological gains, and benefits for owner-operator truck drivers since the smartphones adoption rate in the industry significantly increased during the recent years. He believes that these applications will replace dispatchers for owner-operator drivers.〔
